When you say "PHP" you mean the programming language PHP. This implicitly refers to the PHP Interpreter that is developed by the PHP project and that can be downloaded from PHP.net. Aside from this reference implementation of PHP there are alternative runtime environments for PHP, such as Facebook's HipHop.

This session presents an overview of these alternatives and provides an insight into their feasability for production use.
