Susanne (miracee), Dipl. Inf., B. Sc. Psychology, has been part of the Open Source world since 1996. In her early years, she contributed to PostgreSQL development and later worked as a developer at MySQL. For around twenty years, she has been working as a principal consultant and trainer for PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and MySQL, supporting companies with database architectures, performance analysis, training, and complex technical challenges.
During the pandemic, she additionally studied psychology. Her Bachelor's thesis focused on gaming motivation and problematic gaming in the context of esports. She is particularly interested in the intersection between technology and psychology, especially in the context of software development, Open Source, and internationally distributed developer teams.
Her areas of interest include rhetorical communication, communication within technical teams, neurodivergent and gifted people in IT, as well as empirical research on gaming, esports, and digital communities. She combines technical expertise with psychological perspectives and many years of experience within the international Open Source community.
She is a FrOSCon veteran and has been part of the conference since 2006.
